NDIS Journey
Starting your NDIS journey is easier than you think! Follow these simple step-by-step guides to access the support you need and make the most of your NDIS plan.
Verify Your Eligibility
To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and you must meet the disability requirements set out in the NDIS Act 2013
Apply for the NDIS
After confirming that you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you may request to become an NDIS participant by completing an Access Request Form or call the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
Prepare for and Attend Your NDIS Planning Meeting
Meet with a Local Area Coordinator or other NDIA planner as a precursor to your NDIS planning meeting.
Obtain Your NDIS Plan
After the NDIA approves your NDIS plan, you will receive the approved plan in person or by mail to the address provided to the NDIA.
Receiving support
After approval, you will receive funding to access the supports and services needed. You can choose to receive your supports directly, or through a provider to deliver your supports and services
